Issues

Taxes

Under our current Supervisor taxes have increased twice.  It is time for a new approach. With an eye toward eliminating wasteful spending and growing the economy, Tom will attract businesses and bring in more revenue to reduce pressure on homeowners and find efficiencies to save money.  He will focus on lowering the taxes for our families and seniors.  Long Island families and seniors already pay too much in taxes and local politicians should not add to that burden.

Creating Jobs and Growing Islip’s Economy

As a small businessman Tom Croci understands what it takes to create jobs.  Tom remembers growing up in Islip with busy main streets and successful small businesses.  Today, many of those business  are gone…boarded up and their space vacant.  As our next Supervisor Tom Croci will work to eliminate red tape that harms small business and job growth.  It is time for a fresh start.  Tom Croci will revitalize Islip to make it easier to live and raise a family here once again.

Eliminating Wasteful Spending

Tom Croci is not a politician, he is a successful businessman who has worked in the highest offices of our government.  Tom knows that we need a fresh approach to local government with a  focus on the bottom line.  He will not reward political friends with high paying jobs or create fights with hard working employees for political purposes.  Tom will work to realign budget priorities and find savings so that the Town can operate efficiently and effectively.

Restoring Honesty, Hard Work & Integrity

Tom Croci will restore honesty, hard work and integrity to the Islip’s Supervisors’ office.  As a Lieutenant Commander in our nation’s military working in the White House Situation Room, Tom Croci provided critical information to keep our communities safe.  Now, having returned home to work with local officials and help run a small business, Tom is ready to use his skills to create jobs, grow Islip’s economy, lower taxes and eliminate wasteful spending.  Political favors need to be a thing of the past.  Under Tom Croci taxpayers and homeowners will come first.

Why I am running

Islip Township once had a thriving small business economy that created jobs and provided a great quality of life for citizens in the township.

Unfortunately that has been replaced with boarded up storefronts and just memories.

I will work to protect our seniors, families and small business job creators from high taxes. The combined burden of federal, state and local taxes should not force seniors from their homes.  We need to cut taxes, not raise them as Phil Nolan has done.

I will work to find waste, fraud and abuse in Islip’s budget and to provide quality services at the lowest possible cost.

As a small business owner who understands what it takes to create jobs, I know we must have new, aggressive leadership to bring Islip’s small business community back.

I will work to recruit new businesses and help navigate red tape regulations that harm small business growth.

As someone who has worked in the highest levels of our nation’s government helping provide the information about life and death decisions, I will put my leadership skills to work creating a lean, efficient government that provides a great quality of life for the citizens of Islip.
