Honesty, hard work and integrity define the life and character of Tom Croci.
Growing up in Islip, Tom Croci learned early about the meaning of hard work. The son of two public school teachers who both went on to become school principals and the grandson of Ellis Island immigrants; Tom worked in Sayville at an ice cream shop, he was a park attendant at a local marina and even worked at St. John’s in Bohemia earning money for college.
In November of 2011 Tom was elected by the citizens of the Town of Islip, NY to serve as Supervisor overseeing town government for more than 300,000 residents.
Prior to his service in Islip, Tom served our nation in the highest levels of government both at home and overseas.
Twice deployed into Afghanistan, Tom served with a Navy SEAL Team as the Intelligence Department Head. Tom has spent more than 200 hours flying in Navy aircraft, was a team leader for terrorism analysis and developed briefings for the President.
He was selected for some of the most difficult and sensitive leadership positions in our nation’s military. A commissioned Naval officer, Lieutenant Commander Tom Croci was picked among the entire nation’s naval force to represent the Navy, a force of over 300,000, in the White House Situation Room. Tom has also served as Deputy Executive Secretary of the Homeland Security Council for two United States Presidents.
Following his work in the White House, Tom served as a New York State Senate aide helping solve problems for local residents and the business community as they work to create jobs.
Tom is also a successful small businessman as a Vice President and Partner of V1 Analytical Solutions, a firm focused on national defense issues.
Tom Croci remains a Lieutenant Commander now with the U.S. Naval Reserve.
Tom is a graduate of New York Law School and of James Madison University. He has been an active volunteer Board Member for the New York based Christopher D. Smithers Foundation and he is a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Tom lives in Bohemia where he was raised.
